DNA of the position:
Reporting to the General Manager, his/her main responsibilities will be:
Manage and control the cost accounting function at site. Develop and implement periodic review practices
Directs preparation of operational budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification from operations team.
Communicates financial performance of the process plant through various reporting mechanisms.
Monitors plant inventory levels and reports, and orchestrates annual physical inventory as part of policy
Direct financial oversight on physical inventory – safeguarding of assets, carrying cost, cycle count, physical count adjustments and excess & obsolescence reserve.
Establishes, or recommends to management, economic strategies, objectives, and policies for Manufacturing.
Identifies areas for improvement with respect to Bills of Material and Routers to ensure most accurate standard costs
Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting as well as the protection of company assets.
DNA of a successful applicant:
It’s required a professional with an Accountant degree or similar, with more than 6 years of experience performing similar functions in multinational companies. Desirable: mining, construction or related industries.
Experience working with cost and working capital controls, budgeting and forecasting processes, and a strong saving focus. Advanced English.
